The structured fill media is made of a series of thermo formed sheets, in high quality PVC, which are assembled, with the inverted shape every two sheets, and glued to constitute modules. Available in PP for temperatures up to + 80° C, in this case the sheets are glued or heat-sealed each other.

The structured fill media is used in evaporative towers where water is relatively clean (medium fill 13mm) and the volume must typically be minimized in air conditioning, or for industrial applications with a higher risk of fouling (medium fill 20mm) compared to civil applications.

It is used in both counter-current and cross-flow applications. Scrubbers as they manages to ensure excellent water distribution, allowing maximum use of the contact surfaces, and increasing their performance. It also favor the distribution of the gaseous mixture from below.

Water purification, specifically within 1st and 2nd rainfall and process water treatment plants, blocks of this filling model are used as separator filters for oils and free hydrocarbons. For applications in percolators with low-load and / or nitrification only (in 2-stage plants) where the biological layer is very fine, this type of filling can be used by increasing the support surface per volume of biofilter. This product is also used in submerged, known as hybrid systems in which a growth in suspension is added to the growth of aerobic bacteria on the surface of the filling.
